Cooper Buckley Ltd. was formed in November 1993 when Brothers-in-Law Steve Cooper and Frank Buckley bought out R. Atkinson Ltd. along with its all Cummins fleet. Originally located in the small village of Wybunbury we relocated to the busy Crewe Gates Industrial Estate, ideally placed for its quick links to the M6.
We quickly expanded our operations from the nine existing vehicles to our current twenty four all Volvo fleet, the majority of which were purchased from our local Volvo dealer Hartshornes (Potteries).
2010 saw the start of a major change for Cooper Buckley as we changed from an all Volvo fleet to a more modern one of M.A.N's.
To enable us to effectively maintain our fleet of vehicles and trailers we acquired the adjacent site, formerly occupied by Caratrans, which netted us more hardstanding and an additional workshop with a pit that easily accommodates a full length artic and trailer.
2013 was an exciting time for the Company as we took delivery of our first ever brand new vehicles, these were all Volvos purchased through our local dealer Thomas Hardie Commercials in Middlewich.
A true Family run Company,
Frank Buckleys son Paul manages our workshop in which we service all of our own vehicles along with our Customers vehicles. Julie Butterfield, Franks youngest daughter joined the company in 2009 and is involved in payroll and accounting.
Steve Coopers daughters both work for the Company. Caroline Cooper is General Manager and oversees the day to day running of the business. Claire Minshull is responsible for Tacho Analysis, monitoring vehicle defect reporting systems and assisting with the day to day accounts.
